A quick question about setup

Yes it looks like its better for me to go with an i7 setup, its only going to be an extra £50-£100.

Thanks for taking the time to make a list.

I just noticed the Bundles OC have which also work out neary the same price and they build it with an overclocked chip, seems good value to me. Only difference is some different makes of power supply and the case i will phone OC and see how much it comes to as i dont want to go a lot over £1500.
This is the bundle i was looking at http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-101-OE

What do you guys think? i would want an SSD still and swap the hardrive for an samsung f3(they are around the same price anyhows), plus a 5870 card.
Also a i want Blu ray RW.

Do you think that the 650W PSU is enough with this bundle to run 2x 5870s at a later stage or would i also need to upgrade that?

Possibly this bundle with all of the above - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-030-OE&groupid=43&catid=1444&subcat=

which would you guys recommend if i went down that route.

Thanks a lot

The Ultima Viper looks really good dude, just give OCUK a call and they should change whatever you want im guessing. Im pertty sure 650watt is good enough for 2x5870, also you might want to switch out the HDD not sure how good the Seagate Barracuda HDD is compared to the WD or F3

Hey thanks for you reply, yep i swapped out the Seagate and got an F3 i also upgraded the power to 850w and i got 5870 card and also SSD drive the 80g intel one, all came to £1590.

So with the monitor and keyboard headset mouse i have chosen it will be around £2000 for the whole lot i hope it rocks !

to build this myself as a first time builder with not much of a clue might have turned out a nightmare.

Just out of curiosity i compared each part of the i7 build with OC and four other major companies, OC was nearly every time the cheapest only the SDD drive i could have got £30 cheaper somewhere else and few more pounds off here and there with purchases being all over the place not ideal. I could have self built this with an i7 which wasnt overclocked for around £1500 with monitor, so it works out not a lot more tbh maybe £200 more to do it with OC with an overclocked chip also (that i could never have overclocked myself).

So all in all i think its a very good deal OC are doing.

I really did want to build my own as it looks real fun but i think i would have had some major issues probably with bios, if things went wrong etc.

Think il start with a very low cost self build to £200 build if possible for that much that i dont mind ruining hehe.

Thanks for all your help folks very helpful!
