First off, this is a problem I've had before and I'm preeeetty sure I fixed it by installing a driver of some sort, though I can't for the life of me remember what and it's driving me insane.
I've just installed Win7 HP x64 (just moved from Vista x64). In my power up sequence, just after the 'Checking NVRAM' message (my mobo is in my sig) I get a black screen with nothing but a blinking white cursor (like the one in dos/bios) which sits there for 7-10 seconds, then jumps down a line or two, and only then does Windows loads.
General performance in Win7 is a little choppy (probably not as good as it was under Vista actually) which obviously isn't right, so I'm gonna put 2 and 2 together and run with the idea that the two issues are interconnected.
Any ideas?
