Totally with you on this one!
I came out of a long term relationship around Christmas, and can honestly say that whilst I did love my two ex-boyfriends and don't regret the time with them, I have never been happier than I am now. For the first time in five years, I can do what I want, when I want, how I want. I love my job and the people I work with, and looking at how I can use it to transfer to another position abroad (US or Oz, probably); and I'm constantly out with friends during the week doing endlessly cool things. I'm closer to my family than I have been in a long time; and I've bought my own house now (speaking of which, where in Essex are you actually from?!) where I can kick back at the weekends. I've been on more holidays in the last six months than I have in five years, and I'm going travelling for five weeks in Aug/Sept during a brief "sabbatical". Perhaps in a few years I'll consider starting to settle down, but at the moment I'm having far too much fun!
