I am hopefully starting Uni this year I am after a reliable USB drive something that I can trust to a extent and not corrupt or loose my data I don't need large 8GB is plenty I don't want a tiny one either a regular size the reason being I have a Leather portfolio and has two USB holders what would you recommend? I have had good experience in the past with corsair Voyager and now I am using Kingston Digital 64GB for TV Shows for my TV
Thanks.

Do not trust any storage, EVER. Do not treat any drive as reliable.

Take backups. Do you have your own laptop/desktop? If so, get something like CrashPlan or at least keep a copy on your main PC

If you are going to be throwing it in bags/pockets etc. then something like the Corsair Voyager or Survivor (depending on budget) would do nicely.
