Hi guys. I have a problem I need to discuss, and it's a serious one, but I want to remain annonymous. There are people on this forum that I know personally and also people that can just search for my userid on google and get through to these forums. I'd like to remain annonymous not for the purposes of evading my friends who use this forum, but for evading people who *could* find my threads but AREN'T on this forum.

Is there any way I can be granted the right to post annoymously for 1 thread? or are there any other alternatives that could help me?

Thanks - if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
 
I dont think this is something that will be granted to you. I also cant think of a "serious" reason to remain anonymous on an internet forum. The only "serious" things i can think of that'd want me to remain anonymous would be as a witness to something crime related, and i wouldnt be discussing it on a forum.

I think you may have to think of something else.
 
Yeah you've shot yourself in the foot now.

You *could* have broken the rules and made a new ID (i dont condone this). You could have asked someone to post on your behalf. You could have contact a mod by email or IM and asked re: anonymity.

Now everyone knows what you're up to :P
 
You might as well just tell us now. There is no way you will maintain anonymity, regardless of whether it is granted or not.
 
I wonder if the rest of world is as interested in whatever it is you plan to post as you think it will be? Probably not. Why worry
 
I'm aware I shot myself in the foot - I did consider that before posting.

I'll have a think. tbh kids, you're not missing out on much. It's just something I need advice/opinions on, and i've spoken with all my real-life friends already but i need more input hence ocuk

You'd be surprised at some of the things people admit on here. I'd wager that whatever secret it is you're harbouring, nobody will care as much as you fear.
 
Hey, there was a thread for anon posts about a year ago.

You e-mailed confessions to an e-mail address and someone here posted the lot, I think.

Resurrect that thread! (unless it got closed due to being dodgy)
