A single text message... DID IT GO THROUGH??

A bit of an odd one this, I sent a message to a number at 8.40pm on the 16th of August. While the progress bar was showing I got a message from another number. The message got in and the phone continued sending and apparently succeeded. Now, I've recieved no reply (delicate matter, can't really call to ask HELLO, DID YOU LIEK GET HTE MESSAG0R?) and I expected one. I needed to call O2 anyway, so while I was there I asked if the text had registered as sent on their systems, and it hadn't. Accoring to the dude I talked to they sometimes don't show up until month end where they do a proper count.
So really, I have no real way of knowing if it went through or not for a month or so... Does this happen often?

I knooow it's odd, i'm just weird :)
 
Call me cynical but if it's a delicate matter call, don't use a mechanism which is not 100% reliable :s

I'd assume it went through though if the phone said it sent it :)
 
It's because I'm silly :)

That's the thing though, though my phone says it went off, it dowsn't show up on the system. I want to get a feeling of what the probability of it going through is, even though it hasn't shown up to O2.
 
you cant enable them on O2 smarty pants :p you have to put *0# at the begining of the message iirc
