A (slightly) weird encounter with some Japanese tourists...

She has large eyes and is cute.

Japanese girls go wild for that thing, apparently...

Or they were just being nice and appreciating how cute your daugher is in their Japanese way?

Either way, you should be happy. :p

Well I'm glad they didn't eat her as that would be most annoying. I have been told I look a bit like Michael McIntyre. Anyway, I managed to find a pic of her on the day plus one in a friend's garden. D'you think she looks oriental? I can't see it myself...

Awe she's gorgeous!!! she does have HUGE orientalish almond shaped eyes and very dark brown. Making me all broody

I'm one of those unblessed orientalists, I have what you would call monolid eyes, I look half asleep in photo's most of the time :)

I sold a phone to a japanese girl a few days ago who was incredibly odd. Kept staring directly into my eyes without blinking whilst I explained about the phone she was buying. Then after I'd left I got a call saying it had scratches (I'd pointed at each one and explained how they got there when we met) and could she have a refund. Suffice to say I said no and added her number to the auto reject list on my phone.

My daughter went to China last year and I asked why there were a lot of Chinese people posing in the pictures with her.
She was told that a lot of people come in from outside villages who have never seen white people before and since they don't know how to ask they stand next to a white person and get a mate take a photo.
My daughter soon got used to children being placed next to her because it is considered good luck.

I think it's time for you to get over that now. :)

@Forde I definitely think your daughter has "oriental" looking eyes. It's the almond shape and the epicanthal fold or "monolid".
