A few from my recent trip (honeymoon) to NZ, its an amazing place and my photo's probably don't even do it 10% justice!

Not up to the same standard as some on I here I know, but its the first big holiday where I have taken my DSLR with me. All taken with 500d and Sigma 10-20 and Sigma 17-70mm lens.

I'm pretty pleased with how they've come out considering its my first attempt at making a bit of an effort (although not enough to get out of bed early enough for the best light!).

Ah the Wellington Cable Car - my home town!

Lovely shots there fella. You look like you got around a bit.

Oh and congrats on your getting married!

Thanks, got married in March, so was a delayed trip.

We did 1 week on North Island and 2 on the South. We could've easily spent another 3 weeks doing just the south Island - so much to see!

Windy Wellington and a bot of Rotten-rua too. Good shots - you certainly got around on that Honeymoon!

Did you make it to the Coromandel Peninsula at all?

They've been through Lightroom and tweaked for exposure and contrast and sharpened (maybe just a little too much) in there before uploading straight to Flickr. The above 8 are the best of 900+ that I took, so less than 1 in 100 hit rate!

Great pics, for me 5 & 6 are the best, especially for a first time.

Some of these are begging for panoramas though, such as 2, 5, 6, 7. My other tip would be to check the photos so that the horizon is ermmm...horizontal. 2nd to last one for examples look slightly on a tilt.
