Would anyone be able to phone the UK P.O for me and find out where my post is?

Will provide tacking info?

I'm waiting for a pacel from the UK, was sent 1st class signed for on the 25th of last month from the Uk..

I tried the online tracking, it says: "Your item, posted on 25/05/07 with reference RIxxxxxxxxGB has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in SOUTH AFRICA. "

I phoned the South African customs and they say there's no infomation on the pacel as yet. Or they say it's not in South Africa. :confused:

Why do you say, Monday?
 
'1st Class International Signed For' has being a lousy service for me.

I have used it 3 times, twice the items have sat in a warehouse in the UK for over 2 weeks before finally crossing the channel. I'm trying to get some money back off them for 1 of the parcels since I gave my Mum the money to send the item to me.

Doubtless others have had better service.

EDIT: I've had that message for 2 weeks solid before.

Do you normally get post on the weekend? Occasionally we get it on a Saturday, but most of the time we don't.

And considering it's been 8 days, surely it can't take that much longer?
 
Did you atleast get all three items?

How long have you waited before they are at your door step or in the country?
 
Indeedy, everything finally arrived.

The longest was 3 weeks using International Signed For.

Once the parcels get to this country it's only a day to delivery.

It's a bit annoying really, OcUK use City Link and they get stuff here in 2 days and it isn't expensive.

EDIT: It's all a bit strange really, ordinary unsigned for stuff takes around 3 days and if I send signed for parcels to the UK from here (Members Market for example) they only take 3 days. I think they need some sort of system overhaul.

Well, if it's not in the country...then I really don't know. I was hoping to get more infomation from the UK side.
 
I've just sent something via "Airsure" to Netherlands.

Got that message for 2 days before it said it was in Amsterdam and then 2 days later it was delivered on a Friday night.

25th till 29th so not too bad I thought. Try not to worry for a week or so as South Africa is a long way away.
 
I am trying not to worry. Last time I got some CD's, they took a whole 3 days they were unsigned for as well. This time, the item is a bit bigger, I am just really hoping I get this card.

Do you guys think there would be any chance of getting it before or on the 8th of this month? :(
 
Because I only have a cell phone, therefore a call to the UK would cost me R10 per minute. Adding to that, my service provider doesn't allow me to call overseas as I am on contract. Got to fill out forms ect and takes about three weeks, by the time they are done, it would be too late.
 
Email me the tracking number, phone number, etc - I'll do it for you in a bit, if you want.
