A small rant about work (not what you think)

So I'm driving home, had a fairly good day at work today, I get a call from my girlfriend (I pulled over before answering :p)

(To keep things simple I'll use Girlfriend and Sister )

To cut the story short a complaint has been put in about her at work...

The best bit? Her sister (Sister , who works with Girlfriend ) was in the newspaper recently (for something, I'm not sure what) so my other half thought it would be funny to draw a mustache on her picture. Sister , didn't find it funny and got really (and unessessarily) upset about it.

A manager noticed Sister was upset and has put a complaint in about Girlfriend.

So now Girlfriend has a black mark on her record, for a small joke

(I say small joke because if it was me, I'd have plastered the photo all over facebook)

Now Girlfriend is really upset, phoned me in tears and I feel like she needs to do something about it e.g. beat the **** out of Sister and get Sister to get the black mark removed and Sister needs to stop being an oversensitive *****
Thoughts and opinions please?

Lol ok I'll fix it

Now I just look like I've posted in the wrong thread!

Anyway, back to the issue... Is the girl in question being discriminative about the appearance of folk with moustaches? ;) It sounds as though she is. No words spoken in malice so I'm sure it'll be fine.

Girlfriend got called into her bosses office and presented with a 5 PAGE! report about the incident

WTF!?

I know this is GD but I assumed I'd get some better responses lol

Whats this? Another GD dilemma where we'll never get the full story? Shock!

That is the full story, there is no otherside

Well she now knows not to do stupid things like that within the work place.

It wasn't stupid it was a joke that her sister took unessessary offense to because shes an oversensitive *****

Sounds like sister was being a bit ott!

Must be "hormones" seem to give them an excuse to be crying babies for the smallest things!

Surely there's a simple solution?

Get girlfriend to draw moustache on sister whilst she sleeps. Point out that photo is accurate. Make complaint about sister. Win.

Well obviously the company takes a dim view on things like this, Which makes it a stupid thing to do at work, She could have done it outside of work if she felt the need.

Being her sister in the eyes of the company makes no difference at all.

The full story is that one sibling drew a mustache on a photograph of another sibling and this ended in a 5 page report being written by management at work?

Really?

Yes, why should there be more? her sister has always been an oversensitive cry baby

Icing on the cake, it was Girlfriend that got Sister the job!

Playing devil's advocate..

Maybe Girlfriend has been picking on Sister for a long time. Belittling her and pursuing a campaign of low level harassment. This bullying has been ignored by characterising Sister as an oversensitive ***** who should be able to take a bit of argy bargy.

Two sisters with a normally functioning relationship don't end up in this situation over something as trivial as a drawn on moustache.

Are you sure there isn't something else going on between them?

So she knows her sister is a "Over sensitive cry baby" yet decides to draw on a picture of her in the newspaper for all to see at work?

She only has her self to blame really.

I'd say there is more than likely some truth to this.
