A Smart Response Technology SSD query

I just got a Corsair Force GT 60GB SSD drive as my main Win 7 OS boot so my old OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD will be a surplus drive.

But someone recently told me about using my OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD as caching with Smart Response Technology.

My question is this, I'm running outta SATA ports on my mobo.

Should this OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD OK be used as caching on the SATA2 port?
Or should it really be used on the SATA3 port?
And also, if using it on SATA 3 port, should it be used on the Intel SATA3 port or Marvell SATA3 port?

I might sound like a dummy here and I might be over complicating things for myself but if someone can help me out here, that'd be great!

Yes.

Preferably.

Definitely. As far as I know, it doesn't work on non-Intel SATA ports (although speed doesn't matter)

At the moment it's in the SATA2 port as I run outta SATA ports on my mobo and like you said before, it definitely didnt work in the Marvell SATA3 port.

I'll try this Smart Response Technology on my newly installed system - Will it really make my PC more snappy?

Thanks for ya friendly advice!!
