A Software and Keys list for External Drives

Hey guys,

In my job i use a program called Belarc a lot to find a list of software and their keys on a computer so that they can be re-installed.

This works fine if the computer is able to run (since it takes it off the registry i think), but if it doesn't run and i have to slave the hard drive in my computer, belarc doesn't show the software results.

So essentially, does anyone know of a program that will give a list of all the software and their keys for specific drives connected to my pc?

Run the slave HDD as you do now and 'Load Hive' the registry files in your masters registry. Then run the software against that, see if it picks it up.

They live in %SystemRoot%\System32\Config\ and the HKLM is the SYSTEM file.
