A solution to the scourge of couriers

As a "delivery" driver myself, the number of times Ive had to leave a card because someone wasn't in at the specified time they were notified of up to 24 hours ago is staggering and it ****** me right off.

Why order something if your not going to be in to receive it.

Well, at the risk of sounding obvious, with all due respect - their contract is with seller to provide the goods to them, they won't always be able to skip their work and be there just because a roster of middle man said so. It's literally your job to deliver and keep re-delivering until delivered, it's not theirs to run their day on your schedule. You don't get to be annoyed by that, these are the rules of your trade

I like it when the courier rings my mobile 30 mins to an hour before they arrive so I can either tell them i'm in, tell them to leave it in a safe place or give directions if they are struggling to find the house

I get along with most couriers fine apart from the selfemployed ones such as yodel and myhermes, the ones without depots.

I am currently trying to get something from myhermes but the little scrote that has it won't leave me a card to arrange a safe place/neighbour and/or time, just flags up missed attepts online.

Can see it just getting returned to sender
