After seeing me buying a new pc, a friends wishes to update.
Like me he wants a new "computer" in a new "Tower" case
. He has some different wishes for his new pc though. Firstly his budget is £750.00ish (the cheaper the better), currently he has a 2.x p4, 1 gig ram, 150gb h/d, 9800pro. Secondly he doesn't want the best components, because he wants to update again (mid 2007) to vista and dx10. All he wants is something that would play cs:s decently. He doesnt need core duo atm, as when he updates later he will by a very good core duo or quad (depending on which looks to be the best for his needs).
What he does what is 3 components that he will keep through the upgrade, motherboard (the best possible needs to be able to run duo or quad), case (already seen one he likes), hard drive (size needs to be above 50gig, quick/good enough for just windows xp and steam (when he next upgrades he'll will buy another h/d for storage but keep the first one for os which will be vista and games). Also he doesn't mind if the m/b is ati or nvida as he doesn't mind when he upgrade its to either sli or crossfire.
All he really wants to change when he upgrades is ram, cpu, gfx and psu (so these can be as bad as possible atm as long as cs:s play quite well.
