A suit thread.

Can anyone recommend any shops that sell nice suits with a good tailoring service?

I have a budget of about around £300.

I always struggle as i have long arms and 35" inside leg.:(

You'll struggle for a tailor adjusted suit at that price. You might want to try the Marks & Spencer Performance range, they do a good range of jackets with longer fittings and trousers with a 35" IL (I'm the same). Before anyone starts flaming, I was VERY surprised to find a suit in M&S that a) fits properly b) looks good and c) is well made. For an everyday suit I'm well pleased (I had a bespoke made last time I was in Singapore that I use for special occasions), plus it got rid of a stack of M&S vouchers I had :D

Guys I found the most awesome suit site like... ever... yesterday. It's called A Suit That Fits http://www.asuitthatfits.com/shop/

Basically you can tailor and design your suit to your own specific requirements, form measurements to the exact design of the suit... materials, lining, pockets, buttons, collar, everything! Awesomely enough you can also specify if you want a slim-fit jacket and boot-cut trousers, good if you're a skinny **** like me!

I designed a fully tailored, great looking suit using the "Professional" option for £205, now that ain't bad, especially when you can make it as individual as you like. :)

Got to agree, I got a suit for a couple of hundred in M&S the other day from there italian range it fits me like a glove is really nicely made and helped me get a new job so it can't be bad!

I get mine done by a tailor in Bangkok ( he does them for George Bush Sr and a lot of US diplomats ) had a made to measure tux done with several fittings etc

final measurements were taken from that and now I can re order by email

had my measurements updated when I was there last year

Ive been looking for a fairly nice suit jacket or blazer that I could wear with jeans and I also looked in Reiss at Bluewater. But they didn't seem to have much in the way of variety...I saw a nice grey one (probably the same one you looked at) but Ive got an image of a nice dark brown jacket in my mind. Cant find one though.
