A thank/reputation system on the forum...

No, because I'd have a 'Reputation' of -1 billion because every time I said Corsas were not very good all the Corsa owners would negative rep me :p

We have our Trust, I've had somebody post a Thanks helpful guy sort of thing in my Trust which wasn't to do with a sale.

I downgraded you in my head.

I don't even have a Corsa. :(

What if there was a 'Thanks' button that gave a score without a negative option?

Bwahahaha. And my plan was foiled.

The trust system is only really used for the MM though :(

I agree, Fox would break it with the amount of negative rep he'd get :p

Rep and thanks work really well on quality forums, when implemented and used correctly. I seriously doubt the members here would be able to cope and it would be a shambles here.

That's what i'm thinking. Only positive points would be recieved. For things like Candyman's epic build thread and easyrider's cinema room thread. These people would recieve massive reputation boosts.

Might encourage people to do more cool stuff

I’ve seen it implemented with a thanks meter just below your username on the left which is rather nice. Can’t see it happening but you can always say it in a post.
