85 for those.

I was the stills photographer for a production company shooting a commercial for a product launching next year. The ad goes live online this month.

My copy of the 85mm EX is outstandingly sharp. In some cases I think it's even sharper than my 35mm Art! For me the only reason to upgrade to the 85mm Art would be for the new styling, better control of CA and fringing (although this is a minor non issue), build quality and firmware upgrade ability via the dock.

I’ll likely upgrade to it anyway and sell the 85mm EX (whoever gets it will be very pleased I can tell you that).

Not the kind of thing you expect to come across when doing some midnight Astro Photography but I guess it makes for a different street photo :p

I did check to see if he was OK, he was snoring like a champion!

:D

Also... Astro Photography, it seems quite OK!

Hah!

Can't wait to do more. I now know what some of you other guys who do star shots feel when standing under the light show!

Don't see anyone else willing to stand there through tens of repeated attempts until the shot is just right :p

I also use a human figure to give a sense of scale and add perspective. Looks better for it!

My 560TX isn't here yet so I'll have to waltz around a bit while I get the speedlite power suitable for mild fill for them but other than that I think I know what I'm doing with this now :p

Just hoping that nothing runs late in the evening so they have time to get it right. Oh and the weather :D

It completely suits her character as a person though (she's a secondary school teacher) ;)

That wedding was really sweet, location was sweet, I have an astro composite to come with the two of them in silhouette but the morning did have a very awkward moment when one of the bridal party mums asked if I was single while I was shooting them getting ready, wasn't for her... for her daughter :o

Oh those may be handy for future shots ta. I used the ETTR method because I'm in the city, stacking doesn't work so well whereas ETTR gathers more information at higher ISO without the noise.

Some top reading links thanks. I have a long night session at the end of the month on the Isle of Wight so will see what I can come up with.
