Hi People, I sit my 601 and 602 next week (Tuesday for 602 and 601 on Friday).

Is there any tips/links/areas I should be covering the most or in general? Thanks in advance!

Jake

I done it last year mate, nothing beats doing LOADS of multiple choice questions, they all come back up in the exam, only so many questions they can give you ;) all be it the wording might be different.

THESE are also worth a watch bud.

Thanks for this Kenny. I literally found them before I read your post.. Seems very informative and precise.

I've done some practice questions from some supplied programmes from my trainer.. my current are 'Communication and Professionalism' (reason for this is some questions are quite subjective) and 'Laptops and Portable Devices'. Also, some network sharing parts are confusing.

Did my A+ about 4 years ago, Remember getting a lot of questions about binary, hex and octal, also i found the hardware one easier than the software, The exam lady told me that most people fail on the software exam so i would revise that.

Wee update mate now i have been thinking about it,
i never got any questions on hex/binary/cpu's.

Majority of the questions was on printers, wirless networks, security and operating systems.

Some questions on HERE

hope this helps.

I also never got any questions on hex/binary etc. Just do plenty of practice questions, as there are only so many you can be asked. I did mine earlier this yea and TBH if you can install windows etc with your eyes shut and navigate around a PC etc etc you should be fine :)

Thanks guys. I've done a few full length 'certification' mode practice tests so far.. always about 5 questions shy of the pass mark. I will keep at it. Thanks again.

Lots of practice questions, "Exam Cram" are very good for the A+ from my experience. It's such a general exam, though, that I'd be hard pushed to think why people fail it tbh.

I did my A+ essentials (220-601) exam a few weeks ago i found it fairly easy i got 800 out of 900 :) pass mark is 675 IIRC be doing the A+ PC technician (220-602) exam in a couple of weeks. aslong as you know your way around windows you won't have a problem

Got given a VPC VHD from my trainer today.. packed full of .pdf's and oodles of practive testing software.. just sat a 602 test and got 891.. not bad. Only 64 Q's though.. How many roughly is there in the real Exam?

Much better than me :p

theres 100 questions in the actual exam mate. not all the questions are taken into consideration some are just prototypes, think there are 90odd genuine ones.

I passed my 602 with 819/900 which was okay I think.

Sitting my 601 tomorrow - everyone says it's easier than the 602, but I beg to differ lol. Remembering little details about pins and stuff.. god help me.

Thanks for the help once again people!
