**A TRUE PROFESSIONAL 30" MONITOR FROM NEC!!**

I can't justify this. My Dell 30" was spot-on calibrated at the factory and has next-day replacement. I've seen many comparisons between the two in terms of colour reproduction and image quality and they're extremely similar. Build quality is just fine on the Dell as well. All these contrast and brightness things are nice but ultimately largely irrelevant when it comes to a properly colour-calibrated studio setup where you usually need to be working at way under 100% of either. The 3D LUT is nice but a bit gimmicky. Most places will have an existing solution for this that is perhaps more accurate/reliable.

I've got nothing against OCUK selling this model at all - why not - but I'm not sure who your target market is for this? I'm guessing people with far more money than sense, because most DCC professionals like myself use Dell screens because they're known to be massively good quality but reasonable prices. Top end/large studios in film/TV/broadcast/retouching etc. might use these NEC or some of the other top-end screens, but they buy bulk and usually wholesale because they probably have 20+ desks to cater for....

Either way, great screen and reasonable price given what it sells for elsewhere. Just not sure who will want this. I'm sure someone will buy it to play Skyrim or something :)

It never crossed my mind, honest.

No cheaper smaller NEC monitors ?
