Just tried these settings as this is a bright monitor at full setting. Works well, but YMMV and Magic Angle is less time to set up.

I must have a dud screen then because the brightness is set on 100% at default don't know if yours was...though when I try to bring it down the monitor makes a humming noise.

Yeah its fine on 100% m8 like I said but when turning it down it hums...which I have been told is called cap whine.
I've downloaded magictune 64bit for windows and the bloody thing won't work properly it keeps telling me it's not compatible on my system.
I've tried the menu on the monitor but having trouble picking the best one for me....some of the txt in firefox just looks to damn blury but it's ok in IE.

Leave it on for 48hrs, if it does not go, either send it back to OcUK as faulty or call Samsung onsite support to get it swapped out for you as Samsung warranty is an on-site service I believe.
We've sold over 300 units now, an absolute bargain even at the slightly higher price.

Cheers Gibbo will do this because it is a bit annoying having to listen to that whining noise all the time.
