My mind has been wondering again and has come up with a remalkable question.... If there was a fire would smoke inhalation effect a smoker more or less?

Try it and see.
I'm not going to for 3 reasons
1. I'd have to find a smoker willing to risk their life.
2. I'd also have to risk my life.
3. I Don't have a deathwish
A smoker willing to risk his life, Huh, Is that not a Paradox
You'd be willing to possibly sacrifice your life for such an experiment?
