I've been a bit of a fool and managed to lose the copy of the Case Study for the exam I have very soon, I haven't actually read it at all and was hunting it down for revision when I realised I'd lost it.

Anyone know where I could get hold of a copy? I've been to college but all the tutors had left early so I couldn't get one. I've had a look on AQA's website but to no avail.

Thanks for any help people.

I'm afraid not, I was put in the evening class (It's fast track) with a load of adults, and I'm not the social type :o

what case study did you do last year, if it was about WEI FOODS, chinese food etc, then i am doing the same course as you, otherwise im talking out of my **** lol

My case was about an Eromatherapy company called Abacus.

:\

Actually I've just realised that my case study isn't even on there, not even in past years... infact it doesn't even look like my course. I know NOTHING about this "Report" that the link has on it. Starting to get worried now as I am pretty sure it's AQA.

What unit is the case study for? I do AQA business studies and in A2 it was unit 4: exam, unit 5: exam or report, unit 6: exam.

Couldn't find ANYTHING on the AQA site so I did a quick google and found this...

A2 Module 4 Marketing and Accounting and Finance

Module 5 Operations Management and People

Module 6 External Influences and Objectives and Strategy

and then the exam descriptions

Unit 4 Examination: This is a business decision-making case study containing a number of compulsory questions. It assesses modules 4 and 5 of the A2 syllabus. The examination is of 1.5 hour’s duration and is worth 15% of the total A Level marks.

Unit 5 Examination: This contains two sections and assesses any modules of the A2 syllabus. Section A requires candidates to write a report, making and justifying a business decision having selected and analysed given numerical and qualitative data. It assesses any modules of the A2 syllabus. The examination is of 1.5 hour’s duration and is worth 15% of the total A Level marks.

Unit 6 Examination: This unit requires candidates to answer a number of compulsory questions based on a case study. It is a synoptic module and assesses candidates’ understanding of many differing aspects of Business Studies using integrating themes from Module 6 of the A2 syllabus; however it requires an integrated understanding of the Business Studies syllabus as a whole. The examination is of 1.5 hour’s duration and is worth 20% of the total A Level marks.

Is this how you guys have it? This is what I'm doing, although they didn't call it a "Report" when I was told about it.

ah i see now

the case study it refers to is a REAL LIFE case study you are given in the exam

eg it could be something to do with marks and spencer boosting their profits etc etc

btw gd luck for 2mora, its the report one isnt it

Well mines pretty much like that except we all did coursework for unit 5 and then in January they decided to tell us that they'd also put us in for a unit 5 exam which is tomorrow and whatever you get the higher grade in out of coursework or this exam goes towards you're grade, which is absolutly stupid as it could make months of coursework pointless.

I asked my girlfriend, who's doing A2 Business Studies tomorrow, but she doesn't have a pre-issue case study.

Must be a different option or something.

My unit 5 was a finance exam which was yesterday and that was AQA. I'm not sure if mine is AVCE or A2 though :p.

Give AQA a call i'm sure someone there could e-mail you a copy of it or something. Exam boards are usually quite good that way. Failing everying else and if you are despirate, contact another local college and see if they have any spares.

How are you finding fast track A2 Business Studies? I was thinking of doing a fast track A-level next year, but I am slightly worried that there may be way too much to take in in such a short length of time.
