Hi guys, I've been looking through the forum and cannot find an answer to this, if you know of one could you point me in the right direction? I'm a bit of a noob!

My new A64 X2 4200+ reads at 11 degrees idle, 15 load (BIOS).
However, I just installed a program I downloaded from a link in the overclocking guide (Core Temp) and it is reporting core 0 at 15 degrees, and core 1 at 26! Obviously the bios only reports the temp of the first core but I can't figure out why the cores would have different temperatures!
Any help would be appreciated as I intend to overclock and don't want to burn out one core doing it!

Cheers

Your core sounds totally incorrect reading, unless your room is around 8 degrees c! My core 1 is a few degrees hotter (say 28 and 31)

The cores would be slightly different temps.

I did think it was rather low! I am running a Zalman CNPS9500-AM2 Aero flower cooler on it, and the room temp isn't high, but it still reaches a system temp of around 28 degrees. Any ideas as to why the core 0 is reporting such a low temp? Cheers for the help :)

Bugger! It still responds to load increases and the temp goes up by similar amounts to the second core, there is just a huge difference!
