Hi
Ive had this A8N-E mobo a while now, previously had the original A8V Deluxe. Out of the 2 i prefer the A8V cos it had far less problems.

1) Noisy chipset fan, im sure everyone has been through this, even the rev 2 fan is far too noisy, and has to be removed, i stuck a Zalman ZM-NB47J on mine, which still only brought temp down to 52C because of poor airflow due to the X1900XT sitting right on top of it ;/. I then further modified it by ripping out the fan from the stock NB cooler and sticking it on the side of the Zalman with glue. This lowered MB temp to 31C.

2) No-one really seems to know if 'Mobo' temp = Northbridge temp, i emailed asus tech and got a pidgeon engligh reply that did not make any sense whatsoever, does anyone here know?

3) The sensor chip on this mobo 'IT8712F' has 3 controllable outputs, PWM1,PWM2 & PWM3. Only one of these is used as far as i can determine, PWM1, which controls the CPUfan. Does anyone know how to enable the other 2? I ask because this mobo has 5 fan headers, only 1 (CPUfan) which appears to be controllable. The A8V used all 3 PWM controller's ;/.
