Hi,

If you didn't make this change, please call us on 0330 102 8005.

Thanks,

Looks like a lot of people have had this email this morning after a quick Google, myself included.

If anyone on here is with the AA I'd suggest not using the reset password link on their site in case they've been compromised.

check their fraud department number on their website and phone it (assuming this is aa savings)

its the only way you can be sure.

AA hacked? Unlikely. As you know, it really doesn't take much effort to put a false "from" address on an email.
As for using links in an email, good advice - but surely the people on this forum have known for a long time to never use links on any email? :)

There are no links in the email.

Had this as well.

Either a mistake by their IT department, or a hack for emails (only seems to be genuine customers getting it) and then getting people to bombard the AA phone system with calls.

Hello,

I am officially responding on behalf of the AA UK.

You may have recently received an email from our email address - [email protected], incorrectly letting you know that your password had been changed.

The email was sent by the AA but in error. We are sorry for any confusion or concern we may have caused you. I would like to reassure you that your password has NOT been changed and your personal data remains secure.

You do not need to do anything further or contact us.

Once again, we are sorry for any confusion we may have caused.
