Aargh, new build won't display

CPU, fan, memory and PCI-E SSD are fitted but I'm using onboard graphics.
The motherboard does switch on and the cooler fans spin.
Tried to come out of the Thunderbolt/USB C port to HDMI but nothing.
Can't try the Displayport but I have a cable coming today.
I then realised on the front of the board is an HDMI output but still nothing.
I've tried both sticks of memory separately in all four ports but nothing.
Took the SSD out just in case but nothing.
Took the motherboard battery out and replaced but nothing.
Tried 3 different HDMI cables but nothing.

Any advice appreciated

HAve you tried just waiting a while?

I dont know about Intel on board GPU's but with AMD ones the first ever boot it takes aaaages, a good few minutes (id wait at least 5 minutes) and see if it kicks in?

i assume you've already removed the bios battery to reset the bios beforehand

The 8-pin at the top of the board (for the CPU) is plugged in right? Can't see a cable in the picture, but maybe just hidden by the heatsink.

I'm not making excuses but I am a pensioner and it's been a long time since a built a full system for somebody.
I also had next door neighbours cat giving me bad advice so I do have an excuse as well as being a pensioner.
