my old housemates are moving out today, and new ones are moving in. i need the old ones to **** off so i can claim the largest room. but they're hanging around like a bad smell.

can't wait to get rid of 'em tbh. finally a clean kitchen and a pube free bathroom

Just nudge them to leave, or tell them you want the largest room.

yeah, but one of them knows the landlord and probably knows that i'm not really supposed to be taking the biggest room. i just figure that if i move all of my stuff into the big room after the old housemates leave (but before the new ones arrive), the new people will just fight amongst themselves over the rest of the rooms, and not make an issue about it.

i think i know what's going on here... the housemate who's room i want is only moving around the corner, so there's really no need for him to be here at all. i reckon he's only hanging around so he can "introduce" himself to the girls.

usually i wouldn't care less about that, but his desperation to say hi2u is messing up my plans of getting the best room.

If you get on well enough with him why not offer to help move most of his stuff to the new place and then move your stuff into the big room? Or even ask him if he could move his stuff to one of the other rooms while you move into the big room because it shouldn't matter to him which room he is moving his stuff from and that way he can delay to his hearts content so he can meet your new flatmates?

well i've lived with groups of girls several times before, and i can honestly say that the dirtiest girl i've ever lived with is still at least 10x cleaner than the cleanest guy i've lived with.

could be a problem if my new housemates turn up to find a house drenched, or covered in foam beacause someone called the firebrigade though!
