Hi, What Comes With The Board?
Accessories ETC.

I Bought from the clearance and some items are missing but i dont want to send the board back so is it possible to for OCUK to just replace the missing items?

Probably not but worth asking.

So if anybody knows what is supposed to be in the box?

I Have Wifi CD, Manuals, 4 Sata Cables, 1 IDE, 1 FDD IDE, Wifi Adapter, USB Addon Adapter, Floppy Disc Drivers For RAID.

What Is Not Present: AB9 Pro Is Stated To Come With 9 SATA Cables, But I Have Wifi Edition But Dont Think This Should Matter, Also I Have No Actual Driver Disc For Chipset.
Also No Back Plate

I Have Emailed OCUK, Reply = :

Dear Jason Westlake,

The Clearence Section should be new stock and no items should be missing from the order. If you are unhappy with the purchase then we may be able to refund the item for you.

Regards,

Rob Gould

So If Anybody Has Had Simair Probs Please Tell Me. What Should I Do, This board has all the features i need and i would rather keep it.

Also Is It Possible To Contact Abit & Get These Items? If So Will It Be Free Or ££?

Cheers To Whome Maybe Able To Give Me Some Light On This Matter.

abit UK can supply spares but it will be chargeable.
Probably cost you about £8 incl. shipping for the IO plate (which isn't really necessary unless you have a problem with things crawling into your PC).

bit pricey aint it, dont know what to do, i like the board but its not all there. so might send back but the only comparison is the P35 DS3R Or The AW9D-MAX

Right, it's £6 for an IO shield & you need:

1. A covering letter stating which parts you require.
2. A postal order (made payable to Universal abit)
3. A self addressed stamped Jiffy bag.

Send all three items to:
Universal abit
Unit 3
24-26 Boulton Road
Stevenage
Herts
SG1 4QX

Probably cost you at least that to send the mobo back.

Cant you get the drivers off the Abit site? Or get a mate to do this and burn you a CD? (Rather than pay Abit for a CD?!)

well i wont be selling it for a long time if i keep it. but it would be nice to have all of the original accessories since it was purchased as new. i dont mind spending a few £ trying to get these accessories as it would cost to rma it anyway. i can make a driver cd with menu's but it still wont compare to the original with supplied programs.

I can understand your logic to a point, but...

If you're keeping it for a long time, then when you DO get rid, there will be new drivers anyway. So, nice to have the original driver cd, but totally useless and most will get the latest drivers as soon as they're online.

If it makes you happy. :)

I Will get in contact with sean then.
any idea's what to write in this letter?
just a simple statement requesting the parts?

Thanks
Westy

Hello, I Havent recieved a second reply from OCUK, sent like 2 days ago, how slow?
anywayz i was in contact with another abit member before sean (never contacted sean at all) and i have now ordered all of the missing bits from a member of a certain auction site for £12. Thats: IO Plate, Driver, 5 Sata Cables, IDE, Floppy, & Manuals.
He threw in the IDE, Floppy & Manuals for free :D. so i will wait and see what OCUK say, maybe they can partial refund to pay for the missing items? maybe not, life goes on and im still waiting for my CPU (STAY AWAY FROM CERTAIN AUCTION SITES) been 3 weeks and no cpu :'( paypal will be getting my dosh back soon then :D

I love it - on 1 hand he says that he's ordered it all from a certain auction site & then warns people to stay away from auction sites! :p

Yes, but let's not forget this is the guy who won't buy a motherboard with a parallel port on the back because they are ugly. Each to his own I suppose.

lol, well i never stay behind my own word, as long as you check feedback usually its ok, but some people are some sellers are so damn lazy and care nothing about buyers. also i dont want a parrallel because i have no use for it on the machine im building. i would rather have more usb ports, in the case of the ab9 you dont really gain anyway. i said nothing about them being ugly, i have 2 machines now which have all standard ports and only one old printer which uses parrallel, my printer is usb and the other is networked so i have no need on my new system.

Anywayz - Conclusion: Parrallel Isnt Used That Much With Newer Equipment These Days, & Certain Auctions Sites Can Be Good One Day & **** The Next :D, & Also I Say Completely Random Stuff Which Always Seems To Make People Laugh. & I Got My Accessories :D

So There We Have It, A Thread With A Conclusion.
