abit an8 shutdown itself then beeping?

Just install a 8800gts today and all of a suddend my comp has started to play up
when i run 3d mark of just finish running my comp shuts down then starts to make a nerh nerh nerh nerh sound like a police car out of the inbuilt speaker? but the power is still on, pressing reset does nothing i have to turn pwer switch off. When i reboot everythings fine?
Any suggestions

a hi lo sound is usually either a temp, voltage or fan speed out of range.
Given that this has started after installing an 8800 I would probably watch your temps or voltages.

Just checked my fans with nvidia monitorview system reads 18 rmp :confused:

aux1(cpu) 2308rmp, and aux2 30691 rpm :confused:

I dont think its reading them right would that program shut down my comp? any way to correct.

Just uninstalled the ntune program will see if it does it again.

Well that didnt work crashed when running 3dmark no beeps this time just straight turned itself of :confused:

FanEQ is perfectly OK for monitoring fans speeds.

Try putting your old gfx card back in & see if you still have the same problem.
Also watch the codes on the POST reporter with the 8800 in (it'll probably go to 9.9. when shutdown, it's the codes prior to that that you would need).
