Abit Guru or Core Temp inaccurately displaying temperatures

Hello

I got a question about the above programs.. My problem is Abit Guru displays my temps around 8 degrees cooler than the program Core Temp so idle is 33c on Abit Guru and 40c on Core Temp, as you know Core Temp displays both temps of my c2d.

Now which one should i believe? I've updated my bios to the latest and in this update it states they have made temperature monitoring more accurate. I don't have any tools like a proper handheld temp monitor to test my CPU - any ideas?.

My Rig setup is in my Sig tho my cd2 is set at 2.942ghz stock volts

Cheers peeps.

Well Core Temp reads 'on die' and the Abit software may be reporting off a sensor further from the core.

Its nothing out of the ordinary, but you could try downloading everest ultimate edition and comparing temps from that.

Just thought i post what I've worked out... Everest says the same as Core Temp so my CPU is running a bit hotter than i was thinking but this isn't to much of a problem i will just up the rpm of my fans a bit and run 2 monitor programs :)

Thanks again Coolasmoo
