Best I can do (and still over budget):

(£123.36)
Asus M3N78-EMH HDMI nForce 8200 Micro-ATX (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £49.99
(£58.74) £49.99
(£58.74)
Sub Total : £175.97
(This can be changed during checkout) Shipping : £8.25
VAT is being charged at 17.5% VAT : £32.24
Total : £216.46

Can get a 780G board for another £4 or so.

Quad for your encoding, half decent onboard graphics with hdmi, upgrade to 2GB of RAM.

thanks for that tetras i will look into it,you mentioned micro atx would that fit in antec sonata case i think last mb was atx

also is my radeon 9800 not worth keeping whats the cheapest card that will perform better than that, thx again

M-ATX should fit fine in an ATX case. Check Antecs website for your case but you should find it the case (ha ha)..

If you can wait and get more cash I'd go with a Core 2 Quad cos the performance is better or get a Phenom B3 revision if you can wait but not get more £££. I doubt you would encounter the Phenom TLB bug but if you get a B3 you would be guaranteed not to...
