Hi. I have been offered an ABIT IC7 and an 800FSB HT P4 chip c/w 2 gig ram (4x512) for £150 off a mate. Are these motherboards any good? is the price too steep for yesteryears tech?

What do these overclock like? this only has IC7 on the motherboard and the one I can find reference too says IC7 MAXX, is this a cut-down version?

Hi i have the "G" version of this board and it seems to clock quite well, i have my 2.8Ghz northwood running at 3.5Ghz 24/7 without a problem using 2 x 512Mb Geil ultra PC4000 memory and upping the core voltage to 1.625, my temps never go higher than 49c when at load.

:)

If it's an Abit IC7-max 3 go get it!!! If not i'll have it mate!!!

No cpu for it?

Once fully volt modded these things go over 400mhz fsb and are mental fast but don't put it under phase or water chiller, air and water only okay

if thats true  i have never seen one this good before, i have seen some do 315 but never 400, have you got a link because i wouldnt mind seeing that.

I got it. It had a 3.0 gig P4 HT chip and 2 gig ram. It runs quiet and I have not overclocked it yet. It is the model with 2 SATA ports and is running 2xWD 80 gigs in stripe. It is fairly nifty TBH.
