I have been getting a BSOD recently and assumed it was graphics related
but i think it must be MB related instead. My pc ran for nearly 2 years with only 2 sticks of 1Gb memory without a problem. I updated the memory to 4x 1gb sticks a couple of months ago and its only in the last month that i have had problems.. Done MEM test on all 4 sticks AOK i can run any combination of sticks in slots 1+3 and 2+4 no problem but a soon as i try running on 4 sticks Bam.. not always right away but as soon as i try to game.
I always had my mem volts at 2.00 and tried at 2.1 v and also upped the Vmch settings to 1.29 v and even 1.33 briefly with no luck.
Any advice appreciated Sychnant
PS. all memory is matched OCZ

I have a fairly similar setup to yourself and I did used to have problems running 4 sticks, I run my RAM at 2.2v and like you had to increase the other voltages like the MCH etc.

I hadissues when pushing my overclock, so sat at 8*400 now iirc, maybe it's that?

Thanks Vader, i have no Overclock on CPU at the moment but i used to run at 2.9 with no prob and always low temps on all 4 cores.. 33 when idle 45 when gaming .

My ip35 pro was happy going from 4gb to 8gb of mem, and I never even put the fsb back to stock speed first(9x400), I just slapped it in and it worked first time. The mem volts stayed the same at 1.9v too

I have upped the memory V to 2.2v and the Mch to 1.33 and no BSOD so far,all games (MW2 etc ) play ok (about 30 mins play max CPU temp on all cores 47degrees) Bit of a noob question but is upping the Volts likely to do any long term harm to the memory or cause other MB problems?
Thanks again for your advice
UPDATE>>> just got a BSOD again.. looks like its back to the drawing board.. bummer :-(
Also just removed the memory and looked at the bios settings and they were Mem 2.0 v and MCH 1.25 again and i KNOW i saved the settings at the higher voltages before exiting the bios earlier. How could they change back? Weird
