Abit IP35 Pro Bios Question

17 does - that was the last bios I have

BIOS release V17 for IP35 Pro

Release information:

[ENGLISH]

1. Fixed 45nm CPU compatibility and support CPU half multiplier.
2. Fixed the Wake Up by WAKE# of PCIe function abnormality.
3. Fixed system hang when used Intel PXE CPU series.
4. Fixed CPU temperature abnormality when S3 return.
5. BIOS compiled date: 05/26/2008.

I have made a bootable usb pen with the following files in the root directory:
runme
awdflash
M629b_17.bin
abitfae (not sure if this has to be on here?)

I can see the pen drive in my bios, so I can set it to 1st priority to boot from.
Once at the c: prompt do I just type "runme.bat" without the quotes and let it do its thing? That'll be after setting my bios to system defaults.

shadowscotland, I have just updated to the official 17 bios for the Abit IP35 Pro and I can't seem to be able to use a .5 multiplier?? What am I missing m8? Have looked again and my only multiplier options are 6,7,8,9?? Is that half multiplier support only for the new 45nm CPU's and not the Q6600?

Yes - the .5 multi is cpu specific

If I'd know you had a Q6600 could have saved you some time - sorry

No worries m8, it's been a long time since I had the adrenalin buzz of a bios upgrade. 1st one with a usb drive as well :) Had to borrow a wired keyboard and mouse though, my wireless combo wouldn't let me into the bios after I had flashed and loaded optimal defaults. All seems well now. May try and reach 400 x 9 again. I was hoping for 400 x 8.5 :D
