Abit IP35 Pro post code 8.7. no boot!

Anyone have any tips or experience with this error code?

It locks on 8.7. the instant I press the power button, all fans running.

1 stick memory, cpu, GFX card, h/d only connected.

Its driving me mad! :mad::confused:

(Abit IP35 Pro, Q6600, 1gig Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500, Nvidia 8800GTS (G92), Tagan BZ 900w, Seagate 250gig H/D)

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Sorry for late reply, I butchered my old pc to try other parts late last night and it still didnt work, so I just watched some TV and went to bed as I was getting too annoyed!

Have reset CMOS with and without removing battery, tried another GFX card & other memory, and this morning have tried the board out of the case and its still the same, 8.7.!

abit online help suggests making sure the 4-8 12v plug is in place and if it is then to replace the PSU? anyone think thats what it could be, the PSU?

Should I buy another PSU and return this one?

Try resetting CMOS with the battery out. Using the jumper on the board itself (not the one on the back panel). Move the jumper over, remove power plug, remove battery, press power button on case, leave for 15mins, replace battery, move jumper back, power on.
