Correct me If I am wrong but there is no need what so ever to upgrade if you have a p35 board until nehalam ? what benefit is there of the p45 chipset over a p35.
I like this board but yeah am feeling theres a need to ditch floppy ports, ps2 ports and serial/parallal ports if it has... totaly not needed by todays standards tbh.

for the sake of upgrading if you ask me, P45 is a total non-runner imo as if you want to clock an expensive Yorkfield as far as possible you will look @ X48.
for the rest save some cash and buy one of the better P35 boards at a bargain price.

I'd have to disagree with that - none of the X48 boards I have will clock a Quad-core as well as the one P45 board I have. But you're talking about 485FSB vs 510FSB and neither are actually properly stable at those extremes.
If you only want 1 graphics card, P45 is a pretty decent chipset, but for extreme graphics performance, you're definitely looking at an X48 board.
Being honest not sure why abit are bothering i mean there is missing the boat and missing the boat. IF this board see's the light of day and yes there are rumours floating around about abit it is too litle too late as most people have already gone for the boards they want. Shame i was looking forward to this board but couldn't wait any longer for abit to get their ass in gear.
