ABIT KT7/RAID help!

I need to set an old pc up due to main one breaking down. This Unit was supplied by OC as parts a few yrs ago and I have lost all the info on it.
It is an Abit KT7 raid mobo with an AMD Duron 650 socket A, that I am now running XP on. I would like to upgrade the cpu but am unsure what I can use and if I would need to update the bios. There is also the problem with ram. It has only 128mb onboard atm and I would like to get it to 1gb at least if possible.
Is there someone out there that could guide me on how to update this setup so I can continue till my other pc comes back or I go the NEW option?

I used to have a KT7 RAID, what is it exactly you want to do? What CPU you want to upgrade to, as you will only beable to use 100Mhz FSB Athlon Thunderbirds i.e. non XP's.
