On a side note: If scientists developed a plant that had a 200% increase in its Photosynthesis would every one be ok with it or would the anti-gm crowd start kicking up a fuss?

Oh, and if your so worried about the environment OP, then can i suggest that you never switch your PC on again :D

I heard global warming was made up, and now they have so many people working in areas to do with the subject they cannot admit to it, because of the up roar it would cause.
 
Pre ice age the planet warms up, then *BOOM* the planets inbuilt cooler aka the Gulf Stream switches course and brrr you should have purchased shares in a snow plough company.

Ok, we may be triggering the change early, but destroying the planet? Nope. We may kill off the human race but even doing that would be hard.

Biggest threat to the human race is the idiots in charge of the USA and to a lesser extent the UK. :mad:
 
Apparently this cold and wet summer is being caused by La Nina, which will mean that the next 3 months in Northern Europe will be.. rain.. hurrah!
 
I love all the climate change activists, they pop up all over the world, travel across the countries and the like to give interviews and join demonstrations etc.

How do they get there, cars are bad, panes are bad so what do they use, a magic carpet?

Well there were no coal fired power stations, cars or industry when the last ice age ended.

One edition of Horizon on BBC2 pointed out that there is more of a correlation between solar activity and climate change than there was between C02 and climate change.

Also take a look at the increase in research budgets over the past 10 years. I don't have the exact numbers but the increase in the funds available for "Climate Change" research has rocketed to a eye watering amount.

At a time where some science budgets are being cut some say there is a vested interested in researching "Climate Change"
 
During the later part of the last century the has been the following:

A 20 year drop in temperature whilst a steady (but slow and predictable) rise in C02. The total rise in temperature over the last 100 years is +0.1 Degrees C.

Global Warming is brilliant. Brilliant in so much as it can be used by the Governments of the world to control it citizens.

How can this be anything but amusing? Anybody that swallows the "Global Warming" line this much as suggests "planting trees" a act that will increase CO2 is an few sandwiches short of picnic.
