About to buy a SD37P2

It's a good shuttle, I'm very tempted to buy one myself but I just find it too big coming from a G series shuttle. I'm waiting a couple of weeks for the sd32g2, its almost the same in the smaller sexier case, and £100 cheaper.

Meh, think I'll stick to the SD37P2 tbh.

FAO: Gibbo - When will OcUK have these in stock, I would prefer to buy from here, rather than a competitor. I wanna buy all my stuff from one place, and a place I trust. Said competitor sold me a rubbish X800 AGp before :(

The shuttle this time is actually a pretty decent deal. Rated against a "normal" box...

Decent Case £90+
Decent Mobo £130+
PSU £70+
Cooler £25+
Cables+Fans £20+

Which is £338 already compared to £310ish in most places for the shuttle.
Currently have an SN25P (bought on day of UK release) sat on my desk and VERY, VERY tempted :D

Having said that - looking into a crystal ball the SD32G5 just elbowed to the front of the queue. Nothing my system doesnt run happily yet so can wait :D

Exactly my thoughts, hence why the price tag doesnt bother me AS much :p

just ordered one for my 6600e :)

will keep my sn26p company, just need to select a decent, quiet and powerfull enuff for 1080i HD stuff video card, dont fancy a crossfire setup tho as my sn26 with sli 7900gts is a bit hot and bothered some evenings :(

Exactly the change i made about a month ago. Sold my SN25P and moved up to the SD37P2.

Performance wise they're acres apart. However, I did prefer the assembly of the SN25P as you actually need a screwdriver for the HDD's now.

Choose your graphics card carefullly too as the one i chose ended up taking both slots due to sheer size. So crossfire won't be an option unless i sell it.

I plumpled for 2Gb of RAM and the E6600 CPU. It's running Vista RC2 nice and stable without the need to hunt for drivers.

Awesome stuff.
I got a double slot X1900XT .. but thats fine, I don't wanna run crossfire anyways.
My shuttle turned up last night (wootwoot) and I have to say, I actually prefer having to use the ol screwdriver, since the hdd bays now feel so much more sturdy, and in place.
Such a sexy machine it is as well, really like the front panel.

Is that the 64 bit version your running?

mine was deliverd today and sitting on my desk right now, itching to get home and transplant some kit, for some reason I was expecting it to be bigger than my 26P, but it looks near enuff the same volume :)

I'll slap one of my 7900gt's in there till a competitively priced dx10 card becomes available

got vista RC2 ready to load and hoping it finds all my kit without having to search for drivers, to anyone who has installed rc2, I assume I will be using the vista 64 bit drivers from the Nvidia website

Hi folks,

I ordered mine yesterday but by the time I finished procrastinating on whether to click the 'approve' button the case had gone out of stock. Booooooooooo.

Still, it shouldn't be too long. I'm very interested to see it. I hope it's nice and reliable. There's nothing I hate more than flakey PC's.

Hey mate, welcome to the forums, enjoy your stay :)

i just went with the regular version of Vista. had too many restrictions in the past experiences with the earlier version of vista x64.

had a few power save quirks but other than that it's been great. it's the first build that i'm leaving on my machine (all the earlier releases were a mare in comparison)

The 7900 MSI GTO will fit....just. You'll know what I mean when you put it together there is about 5mm spare but it will fit if its the MSI card. Just built one with one of these and it is seriously quiet as well. Next to my SB75 you didn't even know it was on

Those MSI cards are really quiet and a perfect match for this shuttle.

My X1900XT 256mb fits just fine, with space in length to spare, but not much in girth.
Now only waiting for my ram to arrive before I can start this baby up :)

Think I'm gonna stick with good ol' XP for now, untill the final release, I just wanna enjoy my new rig and games, without any hassle :)
