about to buy an i5 7600k

im about to get a i5 7600k but my current motherboard is Asus P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77, do i need to upgrade this too? im so naive when it comes to mb's

yeah a z77 wont run kabylake.

You will need a Z270, B250 or H270 mobo and you will also need ddr4 ram as ddr3 will not work on these mobos.

Yes but you need to update bios because kabylake came out after z170

ffs i just spent £50 on ram aswel, good news is that the ram has gone up to 75£ for some reason so ill have to try sell it first
