Hi guys,

I'm about to order the Logitech G19 and Razer DeathAdder, it's a lot of money so I wondered what experiences people have had with these peripherals. I'm aware that the G19 has a small enter key, but does this really have a big impact to the comfort of the hand?

I have big hands so I doubt I'd have a problem with this selection, but I'm also using my computer all day. Thanks. :D

I would always buy Logitech have used there customer support and they are unbelievably good.

I currently have a G110 and a G9.

logitech g19 are awesome keyboards, is what I have used for many of years. think it was the g15 before that.. never had a deathadder but my copperhead is still the bees knees and would recommend if they still sell.. great polling and dpi. good configuration program to go with it for profiles etc, same with all razor I assume.. Hope this helps?

I got the Logitech G15 and its great, nearly 2 years old, and only problems so far as been now and again A key sticks, and my windows key lock as broken, but I haven't contacted Logitech to see about repairs yet

I contacted Logitech about a repair, I was past the warranty period and they said my G5 could not be replaced so they sent me a 50% off voucher code to use on their site. Takes a G19 down to £79 but a G500 mouse down to £39 so no saving on mouse at all really :( can't afford to buy anything else and voucher runs out in a week.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I've been pretty busy tonight. I did decide to buy the G19 and DeathAdder, hopefully it'll be worth it!

£130 is a little bit steep for a keyboard, buy hey, if it lasts long then it's a good investment imo.

Edit: Just have to say, the keyboard I'm using now is around 6 years old. It's an old IBM, very good build but it's outdated and clunky. My mouse is a Microsoft Wireless Mobile 4000 or something! haha

I don't think so. The mouse, probably. The keyboard, not a chance.

It probably won't last long. And even if it does, rubber membranes deteriorate much quicker than mechanical switch keys rated for 50 million key strokes. So the quality of key actuation is going to be bad within a few years. Even as a mechanical switch keyboard enthusiast, £130 for a keyboard is starting to get expensive. It would need to be something particularly special for me to pay that kind of money. There are a few projects in the keyboard enthusiast circle that I would be spending that or more money on, but they're low production / high cost units.

Depending on the particular model of IBM keyboard you have, it may be worth a bit to a collector (even a rubber dome). Don't bin it until you've found out what model it is and if it is worth anything!
