Built a new system here using the Meg Ace and a 10900k.

First thing I did was turn off the ability for the motherboard to pre-overclock anything, and just enable XMP for my Corsair RGB 3600mhz CL18 ram (2x32gb in slot 2,4)

All seemed like it was running ok and then the RGB randomly turned off my Lian-Lia fans etc which were working perfectly previously, from the next reboot onwards everything went to crap basically.

Now dropping into BIOS sees the bios corrupt, and the actual bios display incorrectly scaled against my screen, and other weirdness like Chinese looking symbols appearing when you enter some aspects of the menu (EN Is selected top right), generally its all fubar, not right at all, also my fan speeds are randomly uncontrolled despite overriding them with a curve and other general weirdness.

Obviously I have reset the bios to defaults with the clear CMOS option, no difference, even gone to the effort of removing the battery from the board for 10mins to make sure it reset, still no difference, as an absolute last resort I have successfully flashed the bios with the latest version from MSI, still no difference.

The board runs and goes into windows no big issue, but is unstable, even having used the dragon software in an attempt to make things how I want.

Basically cheesed off here, expensive board and it seems fubar, actually hating the bios even when it worked if I am honest.

Been building systems since the 90's and never had such nonsense before, but accept I might have missed or done something wrong "maybe", getting ready to RMA it to be honest, big problem is what do I replace it with??? If I was to ask Overclockers to replace it , nothing in stock.....and I really need the 3x M2's slots tbh, I use my PC for work and getting pretty desperate here, beyond desperate actually.

Got it about 5 days ago......Just feeling a little downbeat having spent good money to have problems like this, was also quite disappointed with MSI's Bios, makes me appreciate my Gigabyte Auros Z390 in my 9700K more tho. I took a chance on the MSI after suffering some issues with Gigabyte Bios as well (impossible to get into it sometimes), but at least that board has been rock stead.

MSI is flashed to the latest bios release, yes :)

Last time I used an ASROCK board was probably nearly 20yrs ago ? for a friends cheapo build, no idea what they are like these days ?

All these stock issues and the urgency don't help things either :(

You could try a earlier bios see if that helps
But if that doesnt work id send it back

I guess that really depends what you are used to, feels different for the sake of being different, regardless of how it looks I just find the flow isn't so great. Tbh once bios is setup its somewhere I rarely visit anyway, so not a deal breaker.
Any luck mate its a bad time for problems at moment like you say parts are very hard to get hold of at moment im trying to put together a pc but motherboards i like are out of stock the ace you have is one i was looking at vets good reviews but its out of stock the other board was gigabyte master but again out of stock

Looks like i am going to have to send it back and ask for a refund, this is my work system build and urgent solution needed, found an ex display board I can pick up locally today, Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Ultra....has the same features thankfully, 3x M2 being an important one.

Nice board that looks like the master
Just setting it all up now, working great, so the MSI was def flakey as everything working solid with a no effort all core 5.2ghz on this 10900K...out the box settings apart from Vcore which I capped manually to prevent the auto Vcore going mad :D

Thank god I can finally get back to work properly, total luck having a board of that spec locally to me, fingers crossed I get no grief sending this MSI back now.

Glad your sorted mate ive been looking at the ace and the master for a build im going to do.
What did you cap vcore at ?

1.375v for the moment, just want to stabilise it, I will hopefully be able to bring that back slowly but surely.

The actual ACE board is very nice, good quality feel and nice layout to work with, no complaints.
