This is my final spec thread, I promise, my first ever build so bear with me :D

Is all this stuff good to go? Will I need any cabling?

Looks tasty. Make sure you wait until the 22nd for the Intel price cuts, though.

Cables will come with what you've already included.

Upgrade the soundcard up to a X-Fi Xtreme Music. And that RAM... that's crazy money... i'd rather buy 2x £65 sets of 2GB!

You may need cabling with those OEM disk drives. Don't quote me, but you may just get the drive in a padded box with nothing else.

Yes, but the motherboard usually comes with SATA cables.

I'll be using the RAM for 3DSM and such so I don't want extreme performance, also that ram is almost double the price on another competitors website :)

I'm talking about the same amount of RAM... less cost.

Do you really truly need 8GB RAM?

Also, you might want to go with a higher motherboard... e.g. the DS4 or DQ6

[EDIT]

Just saw your post, if you want it then go for it, although it'll be a bit wasted unless you're an extreme multi tasker / run a lot of intense applications.

The HDD's will be OEM without cables, but I'd have imagined that the motherboard will be supplied with all the cables.

Yes I do, and why the mobo upgrade if you don't mind me asking? Also could someone link me to some cables I can use for my drives? I have absolutely no idea what ones to buy, can I use all Sata cables with both HDD's and optical drives?

Edit- I want 8GB becuase of my workflow, 3Dsmax, zbrush and photoshop all at the same time, 2GB isn't even enough for me using photoshop at the moment, I work with multiple images of over 500MB in photoshop alone.

I guess there's no real need to go for a higher motherboard, unless you want stuff like firewire etc.

Your motherboard will come with 4 yellow SATA cables (if it's anything like my DS4 I just got).

For your spec you'll need to be using 3 I think, so you'll be fine.

[EDIT]

For what you do it'll be a beast of a PC ;)

Dunno but you seem to be kind of agressive in your posts? Maybe i'm imagining it, and if I am then sorry.

Edit- Ok then, I don't wanna turn this into a flamewar, lets just leave it at that.
