About to spend £1500 on a phone

I've lost count of the amount of times a phone couldn't cut the mustered. Also take into consideration - along with any recommendations the resale value and depreciation associated with the item you might be trying to buy - further down the line.
Edit: as an afterthought, if you are going to need software to automatically do your editing for you, you are perhaps going to rely on AI and something like Luminar Neo for general purpose results, when it comes out.

Is Luminar Neo some type of auto make a picture look great, type of software?, like google pixel does with it's inbuilt software via 6 pro etc?

Yes it will make things considerably easier than say Photoshop. (I'm not saying it is better than Photoshop).

I wouldn't suggest using a phone with it - a point and shoot like the Fuji or Sony that has been previously recommended would be better. Neo will be available for Mac and Windows.

@Helen Barber - We have a young daughter and I got my wife a pixel 6 to take pictures of her and I myself have an S21 Ultra - I think the non-faceblur feature on the pixel 6 is amazing and it takes a better picture than the Samsung most of the time. The video recording on it is great as well - you have a phone with you the whole time and the best camera in the world is always the one that you have with you :)

Pixel 6 at £599 or whatever it is would be where my money goes for this use case (and I have both a £1500 phone, and an expensive DSLR)
