Abramovich & Chelsea + a bit of Everton

Who knows what this actually means. There's no indication that he's going to pull his funding from the club and it could quite easily be a PR move. It takes him out of the spotlight and it also protects the club from sponsors pulling the plug on deals with Chelsea due to Roman's links with Putin.
 
This will surely be temp I assume? He isn't just gonna walk away from millions.

He will no doubt return when it calms down which tbf could be many months.

Needs more details I can't see him just handing the club over itself
 
I imagine giving it to the trust will make it look bad if the club get any kind of financial punishment because of the Russian links, can't imagine the day to day will change much unless the sanctions target CFC.
 
So they are saying he remains as owner and can still invest. Soooo...I dont get the point of this, that sounds like a totally pointless statement with absolutely no real effect

It doesn't say that he's giving up ownership, merely "stewardship". I agree with Baz - effectively a PR stunt, Abramovic will still own and fund it

Chelsea's own revenue, topped up by Abramovic?

The words of that statement have been chosen carefully. He's not given up ownership, just stewardship. He's given them the keys to the front door and said you water the plants and feed the cat while I'm hiding. There's no evidence that he's going to turn the taps off while he's riding out the storm.
