If you update the BIOS we will no longer be able to provide support for configuring and maintaining the CPU overclock.

Its kinda crazy considering you can combine this with just a PSU and case to get a decent budget gaming machine for about 500 quid. And that's all with quality top brand components.

Hooray, an offer without using the word "CRAZY" in the title, someone must have the thesaurus out :p :D

Anyone run any benchies on this system yet?

Definitely, FM2 really has re-created the cheap gaming system. I can't get over how good the onboard graphics.

Not sure I understand how this works either. Is the GPU in the actual CPU or is it part of the Mobo? Can you still put a 'normal' cpu and dedicated graphics card in here at a later date?

how would this compare with an overclocked i5 bundle in both terms of gaming with onboard graphics and also just general computing performance. cpu, memory and motherboard effeciency between the two?

what dedicated graphics card could be compared to the amd on board one please?

I'm trying to way up what setup to build for my daughter and sons computer for xmas so any suggestions and advice re this new technology would be most appreciated. Thank you. :)

The CPU and GPU are integrated into one unit. The GPU's on these AMD chips are actually pretty impressive for what they are.

So, you can you still replace this with a 'normal' cpu and dedicated graphics card at a later date? Or does this mobo always require this dual-cpu/gpu chip?

I'm interested in this for just the same reasons pls...

Well FM2 is AMDs current GEN APU socket so will probably only ever fit CPUs that have the onboard graphics as that is what the socket is designed for.

from what i have read cpu wise it still lags a touch behind the i3. i think i am going to go with the i5 myself and make do with onboard graphics. if needed i can upgrade this at a later date with a dedicated card.

However as my daughter will only be approaching 8 around xmas time i dont envisage she is going to be playing some of today's blockbuster, hence, my decision.
