Fantastic set, some real corkers there. You should be very pleased.
As this is a photography forum though we should always provide a bit of critique and I have to say I'm not a fan of the washed out/cold look on the portraits. It works over in the UK due to the miserable weather and drab setting
p) but in the UAE I'd be going for warmer, sunnier tones. I'd be looking for lots of colour and golden/warm tones to show the heat. As you say it regularly hits 40c out there. Just my 2p

Great set! Sorry I never got round to uploading mine before you left; been so busy but will deffo share mine by the Christmas hols.
Looks like I missed the Emirates Hotel and the Grand Mosque in my tour, so I'll remember them for next time.
Didn't know you were a civil engineer; I have the same background, but work as a structural engineer now, so all the buildings fascinated me!

As some of you may know I travelled to Abu Dhabi and Dubai to visit my dad and watch the F1 last month. I took my 60D and a few lenses and used it as a bit of a photo op. I came back with over 2,500 photos, whittled down to about 1,000 usables, and here's what I think are the 100 best. I couldn't narrow it down any further and 100 seemed like a good number... sorry!
Anyway I hope you enjoy . Here goes...

Awesome Abu Dhabi & Dubai picture threat and must say you have great picture colletion, All are great but like fish market pic, camels in row(24), The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, car racing (36) and bangles picture most. I heard there are no beggers in Dubai but I found a picture here.

Fantastic sets, really good. You've totally captured both sides of the place too. As someone who has lived there for 4 years (when im not studying), im glad that a tourist has gone for both sides of the wealth divide and drawn conclusions.
