Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010, Yas Island Marina Circuit - Race 19/19

God everyone is so negative in this thread.

We've just seen an absolutely fantastic season, with all manner of twists, and everyone wants to sulk just because a smug German won it? Honestly.

That race is everything thats wrong with F1 at the moment.

Loads of perfectly good tracks world-wide which actually allow a good race to happen, over-taking, drama etc etc.

But over the last 5-7 years its been moving more and more towards which tracks are willing to pay the most money. And thus races become nothing but a glorified precession.

Politics > Racing. And cant see it changing anytime soon.

Give me the F1 of the 80's -> 90's anyday over this.

You expect any different? Honestly.

It happens ion every sport and it doesn't matter how many twists and urns there are, our favourites didn't win.

NO! FOR GODS SAKE NO MORE INTERVIEWING FATHERS!!!!

Literally the WORST aspect of all tv coverage is talking to the dads, nothing interesting to say other than clapping like seals and making the drivers look more like over grown 8 year olds!

But he won, it's about winning not consistency. This country likes to focus on people's weaknesses, we all have them, but he won and that is ALL that matters. Honourable nice guys are all very good, the better driver won and I'm not a fan of his but he simply is better than Webber when it comes to having the biggest tuds and doing it when it's counted.

I'm not from "this country" :p

Fantastic conclusion to a great season... Not idea why people are complaining or saying things were more enjoyable in the past... They werent IMO. If you want rubbish try being a boxing fan and putting up with the farce that was Fraudley vs haye.

I'm not a Vettel Fan but he deserves it. He has been quick all year and probably unlucky not have had more points more safety cars and reliability. He has made mistakes but then again so have Webber, Hamilton and Alonso so hats off to him.

Well, that and the small fact that the last race of the season turned out to be a complete borefest with virtually no overtaking. I don't know how you can be anything but negative about such an anti-climax.

Does this mean we may see Nuts back sometime soon, now RBR have won both championshps and with their number one driver winning the championship!

Why cant we have both though? Tilke really needs to design tracks where people have a chance to overtake.

Something has to be done. Its been in decline over the 00's. Tired of watching a precession :(

At least GP2's nice and exciting still ;)

-edit-
Mate just sent me:
They've got to do something about these cars. That was a pathetic race, no cars able to run in the dirty air of the cars in front, no chance of overtaking....they may as well give the trophies to the guys in the pit, seeing as they effectively decide where you finish in most of the races.

Hard to disagree.
Anyone who watched Vettel vs Hamilton et al in the 'smaller' formula's know that F1 at the moment is anti-excitement.
