Fittipaldi pit radio - Ok Pietro, that's the chequered. We had an engine air consumption issue on our car, that's why the first two stops were slow. And we had to make that second stop. Really sorry for that man. Without that second stop you'd have gone really well in that race. You passed through Kevin which was brilliant to see and your pace was better than him and it would have been really interesting if we managed to get plan A to work, but I'm really sorry we had that engine issue. Good job man.

Fittipaldi - I'm alright. Thanks guys. It's part of racing. Thanks for the opportunity again, I'm really grateful to the whole team, and to Gunther and Gene, Thank you. Yeah, it was awesome, thank you.

Steiner - Pietro thank you and you know, we did have to battel through for you, sorry about that, but you've done a great job for the whole team and thanks for jumping in at such short notice. And jsut picking it up and keeping your nose clean.

Fittipaldi - Thanks Gunther.

Got half way through the highlights whilst mostly looking at my phone. Skimmed through my twitter feed and saw that no-one had tweeted about any interesting events during the race so turned it off. Judging from the voting on this thread I made the right decision and probably should have made it an hour earlier!

One for the stats geeks - if you ignore last race would Russell have finished above or below Latifi?

I'm guessing Latifi finishing 11th 3 times to Russell's one 11th place would put him above, even though both would be 0 points?

Thanks again @Shimmy for these F1 threads, as many have said, its really appreciated. Thank you.

I rated as a 3 and compared to others, looks like I was generous. :D This year has shown some great circuits which sadly wont reappear for a while (if ever) Turkey etc. Gutted.

The race a was bore-fest, awful track. Hamilton looked dreadful and highlights that even being super fit, Covid should never be underestimated. Hamilton drove, given he is clearly not 100%, a good race. Verstappen, deserved the win, has had a good season and has given his all pursuing the MB's. Felt for Perez, it will be interesting as Horner mentioned on C4, the decision on whether Albon will retain his seat; will be soon. I hope its Perez or Hulkenberg. I wish Haas had given the second seat to Hulk or Perez.

I really enjoy the C4 coverage and will miss Ben Edwards.

Hamilton looks like death warmed up, I'm a fan of his but I wish he hadn't turned up this weekend. He didn't need to and took the only bit of interest out of the weekend.
Agreed, he clearly wasn't 100% fit, didn't *need* to personally or for the team - Russell would have been better all round.

Worst race of the year what a anti climax.

All I'm going to say is mclaren deserve 3rd in wcc.

Literally nothing else to add.
First 1 rating of the year

What's the point of 'night races' if they just light the track up so it looks like the middle of the day? Lets get proper night races going with lights on the cars. Pretty sure the F! engineers can come up with a lightweight, standardised solution for lights that can be used across all teams.

It's all about having the races at sociable hours for Western audiences but being able to go to cash rich places like Abu Dhabi and Bahrain - no one would watch these races if they were on at stupid o'clock
