Thought this was worth its own thread. For the few days after the Abu Dhabi GP this weekend, there is a young drivers test. The teams will be able to sample the 2012 Pirelli tyres as well.

This thread has highlighted how out of touch with GP2 I have become since not having Sky TV :(

Anyone know if there are any torrent links for GP2?

They'll want an experienced test driver to provide qualitative feedback on their 2012 parts.

This. If you aren't in a position to be looking at new drivers then its a valuable 3 day test.

Ohh, Sam Bird in the Merc, Good on him, and Turvey in the McLaren :)

"The Young Driver Test is a fantastic opportunity to see the cream of the next generation of talent in action for the various teams and to enable them to demonstrate that they have what it takes to progress to the highest level of motorsport.

"In the meantime of course, we've also had Robert in the car for Free Practice 1 today and it's been very rewarding to see him in action. We'll be keeping a close eye on all of them during the week ahead."

Impressive time from Vergne, obviously we don't know what setups or fuel loads the others have, but a 2 second gap is still pretty big.
